Our idea
DocTemplates exists so that no one has to start from a blank document. Choose the template that fits your situation, fill in your own details and adjust the terms to match what you have agreed — and your document is ready to use.
The service is made for individuals, businesses, freelancers and landlords. Our range covers over 100 templates: from tenancy agreements and employment contracts to powers of attorney, wills and loan agreements. Every template has clearly laid-out sections and fill-in fields that guide you through the document step by step. Our templates are drafted for use in England & Wales, in plain British English.
DocTemplates is not a firm of solicitors and does not provide legal advice. Our templates are practical starting points that you adapt to your own circumstances — for significant legal or financial matters we always recommend taking advice from a qualified professional.
How does it work?
Every template is supplied in DOCX format alongside a PDF — DOCX is the most widely used document format and works in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, LibreOffice and Apple Pages. After your purchase you download the template, open it in the application of your choice and fill in the details of the parties and the terms you have agreed. We recommend editing in Word or LibreOffice, as these also support tick boxes — boxes you can tick and untick with a click of the mouse.
You decide what to keep and what to change. Add, remove or edit sections as you need to. Print the document for signing, or send it electronically. You can use each template as many times as you like.
