This release is for an adult model appearing in photographs or video taken by a photographer or company. It is not for a model under 18, and it is not a photography services agreement for a client’s own commission. It is drafted for England and Wales.
Who is this template for?
Suited to photographers and companies who need a written licence from an adult model to use the images, and to models who want the permitted uses and limits recorded.
What does the template include?
The document is made up of numbered sections:
- Parties — the adult model and the photographer or company (the User).
- The Shoot and the Images — date, location and description of the shoot, and what counts as the Images.
- Licence to Use the Images — a non-exclusive licence; tick the media, whether the model’s professional or stage name may be used, territory (worldwide or UK only) and period.
- Excluded Uses — uses the User will not make of the Images without separate written consent.
- Payment — tick a fee or no fee in exchange for items, with expenses.
- Editing and Approval — ordinary editing only, and a tick option for whether the model approves the images before first publication.
- Moral Rights — waiver of moral rights in any creative contribution by the model.
- Withdrawal of Consent and Personal Data — the model’s right to withdraw permission for future publication, and the days allowed to remove images from the User’s own websites and social media.
- Model’s Confirmations — age, right to sign and freedom to sign.
- General — whole agreement, changes in writing, England and Wales law and courts.
- Signatures — the model and the photographer or company.
