Assured Tenancy Agreement (Periodic) — Word & PDF Template

This periodic assured tenancy agreement is a rolling residential letting contract that runs from one rent period to the next. Since 1 May 2026 new assured tenancies in England are periodic from the outset — fixed terms can no longer be created. It records rent, deposit and the responsibilities of landlord and tenant for an open-ended tenancy.

Who is this template for?

It is intended for private landlords, letting agents and tenants in England and Wales. A periodic tenancy is now the standard form for a new residential letting, running week-to-week or month-to-month with no set end date.
