House Share Agreement (Between Joint Tenants) — Word & PDF Template

This house share agreement template records how people who rent a home together as joint tenants of one landlord share the rent, bills, rooms and house between themselves. The landlord is not a party to it, and it does not change what the tenants owe the landlord under the tenancy.

Who is this template for?

It suits groups of up to four sharers on a joint tenancy, such as friends, students or professionals renting together. As the document itself states, it is not for a lodger living with the owner, or for rooms let separately by the landlord (for example in a house in multiple occupation).

What does the template include?

• Disputes and Ending — a house meeting then mediation, when the agreement ends, and how a new sharer joins.
• Signatures — signature blocks for four sharers.
